A scene overlay for Twitch and OBS
Starting Soon Countdown is a free, full-screen starting soon scene for Twitch. Drifting neon light, a big headline and a live countdown timer tell early viewers exactly when the stream starts, and when the timer hits zero it switches to a pulsing “going live any second” message.
Set the countdown in minutes or to a clock time like 19:30, and change the headline, the line underneath and the accent color right in the URL. A side panel shows the latest chat messages, new subs, cheers and raids, so the waiting room already feels alive before you switch scenes.

Add Starting Soon Countdown to OBS in under a minute
- Copy your overlay URL.
Replace YOUR_CHANNEL with your Twitch username:

In OBS Studio, click + under Sources, choose Browser and name it “Starting Soon Countdown”.
- Paste the URL and set the size.

1920and Height to1080. Leave custom CSS empty — the background is already transparent. - Test it before you go live.
Add
&test=1to the URL to fire simulated events, then remove it once it looks right. Tick “Control audio via OBS” if you want the alert sounds on their own mixer track.
Chat, subs, gifted subs, bits and raids come from your public Twitch chat with no login. Tick “Refresh browser when scene becomes active” in OBS so a minutes countdown restarts each time you show the scene. Streamlabs Desktop, Meld and Twitch Studio work too — add it wherever they accept a browser source or URL.
